Bobbye Straach of Coleman, Texas at the age of 84 years passed from this life on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Holiday Hill Nursing home in Coleman.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Judd officiating. Interment will follow at Coleman City Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman. The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday from 6:00 till 7:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home.

She was born Beulah Faye Kidd on March 20, 1934 in Palacios, Texas to Alton Boyd and Fleeta Olive Sikes Kidd. She was raised in Coleman County graduating from Novice High School. On June 1, 1951 Bobbye married Murle Raye Straach in Silver Valley and they celebrated forty seven years of marriage. Murle preceded her in death in 1998.

Bobbye was a lifetime resident of Coleman where she was an active member of the First United Methodist Church serving many years as the Sunday School Secretary. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star. Bobbye was an Independent Insurance Agent and also worked with Coleman ISD.
