Woman With Warrant for Arrest Steals Grocery Cart

The Brownwood Police Department responded to the following calls on Monday, June 17th.

On 06/17/19, Brownwood PD was dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 1600 block of Avenue E in regards to a bike being taken without the owner’s permission, which resulted in a report being generated for theft.

On 6/17/19, at approximately 1656 hrs, the PD was dispatched to the Brownwood LEC in regards to a walk-in referencing fraud. A report was generated at the complainant’s request.

On June 17, 2019, the PD responded to an address on the South side of Brownwood in the 1300 block of 13th Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. A report has been generated and the case is pending further investigation.

On June 17, 2019, at 1149 hours, a Brownwood Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of E. Commerce in reference to a female who had left United Supermarket without paying for any items. The female was located across the street by a United Supermarket employee, who subsequently contacted law enforcement. The female was located on an electric shopping basket that had also been stolen from the store. The female was arrested for theft of property $2,500-$30,000 and booked into the Brown County jail. The female also had an active warrant for her arrest. All the stolen items were returned to the business.
