Noel McLaughlin, 97 , went to be with his Lord February 7, 2019 in Grapevine, TX.

Noel graduated high school from Early, Texas in 1939. After high school he attended school in Dallas, TX for aircraft training. He then moved to San Diego, CA to work in aeronautics in what was Convair. While there he met and married the love of his life, Margarette Savannah Van Dyke and married her on May 20, 1944 in Brownwood, TX. Their union was blessed with three children Darnell, Allen and Elaine. Noel moved to Fort Worth and went to work for Lockheed Martin retiring after 44 years of service. Noel taught aeronautics at TCU. He was a member of the Tarrant Masonic Lodge #962 in Fort Worth, Texas for 65 years. Noel was very involved in the town of Saginaw, he was a City Council member of Saginaw for 22 years and a 40 year member of the First Baptist Church in Saginaw, TX. From a young age, Noel provided for his mother and brother, and was a very hard worker at times working up to 3 jobs. Noel never stopped giving, he loved to volunteer and assisted the widow ladies of the community in whatever was needed. As a hobby he enjoyed making and sharpening knives and spending time gardening.

Noel is survived by 2 daughters, Darnell Harris and husband Loyd Byron of Keller, TX and Elaine McConathy of Saginaw, TX; 4 grandchildren: Philip Heath Harris, Loyd Brandon Harris, Corey Dale McLaughlin and Jennifer Lane May, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Noel is preceded in death by his wife Margarette of 69 years in 2014, son Allen Clem McLaughlin in 2004.
