Lin Wooldridge Graves

Lin Wooldridge Graves, a long-time resident of Bangs, Texas entered heaven March 4, 2019. Lin was born in Brownwood, Texas November 14, 1947 to Glynn and Mickey Wooldridge. She attended Bangs High School, graduating in 1966 and she studied further to obtain her Child Development Associate degree.

Lin married Farley Graves, the love of her life, July 21, 1983. They served as Sunday School teachers at San Saba Baptist Church and, later, First Baptist Church Bangs, Lin’s childhood church home. Lin and Farley shared 28 wonderfully happy years until his passing in 2011.

Lin was happiest when she was working with children and was known by all as “MeMaw.” She worked for MHMR in Brownwood with special needs children. Lin also enjoyed her employment at Bangs Elementary School, substitute teaching and serving in the lunchroom. Whilst living in San Saba, Lin worked for Girling, assisting disabled in their homes. She also worked for Early Beginnings Learning Center in Early for many years, primarily caring for infants. Lin faced many hardships with faith in her God, strength and courage and always put the needs of others before her own. She is dearly missed by her friends and family.

Those left to cherish her memories include her brother, Dan Wooldridge and wife Shannon and their three children; her sister, T.Kaye Wooldridge Irvine and husband Stuart and their three children; her children, Gayla Bankhead and husband Travis, David Beene and wife Brandy, Max Graves, Laura Wolfe, Jerry Graves and wife Dottie, Andrea Graves, and Carolyn Bergeron and husband Gerald; grandchildren Jessica and Chris Hoskins, Joshua and Jami Floyd, Chris Bankhead, Emily, Jasper, Jayton, and Justin Beene, Justin and Kandice Graves, Bradley, Tara, Sarah, and Jeri Ann Graves, Chelsea Smith, Charity, Raymond and Heidi Bergeron; and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Farley, her parents and her granddaughter, Amanda.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., March 7 at First Baptist Church Bangs. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service commencement. Burial will follow at Rocky Creek Cemetery.
