Lilly defeats Fryar to take county judge seat

The 2018 midterm election has come to a close. In the race for Brown County Judge, Dr. Paul Lilly, Republican nominee has defeated write-in candidate Steve Fryar by a count of 8,249 to 2,171.

The following are the FINAL voting results for the May School Board:
Frank Henderson – 249
Tiffany G. Baker – 221
Charles “Chuck” Woods – 307
Ben McInnis – 377
Bo E. Allen – 321
Teri S. Murphree – 355

In the local option election, voters are deciding whether or not to balance alcohol sales rules for all of Brown County:
For – 7,524
Against – 2,510
This initiative has passed.

In one statewide election, voters in Brown County have decided Ted Cruz should remain in office. In Brown County, voters gave Cruz 10,386 votes, while Beto O’Rourke received 1,669.

Once again, these are FINAL voting totals for Brown County.
