Juan “Uncle John” Valdez, age 74, of Early passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020, in Abilene.

Funeral Mass for John will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Bhaskar Mendem officiating.  Private interment will be held at a later date.

Rosary will be held Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home with visitation from 7 to 8 p.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

John is survived by 3 brothers, Rafael Valdez, Pete Valdez, and David Valdez all of Early; 2 sisters, Katherine and Janie Valdez both of Early; stepsister, Christina Gonzales of Brownwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
