The following calls for service were responded to by the Brownwood Police Department and were included on the Offense and Incident report released on Thursday, January 2, 2020.

On Thursday, December 26, at approximately 14:59 hours, a Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of West Commerce Street Suite in reference to a theft report.  A report has been generated.

On December 30, at approximately 14:23 hours, Officer Taylor was dispatched to the Brownwood Law Enforcement Center in reference to a walk-in wanting to report an assault.  A report was generated at the complainant’s request.

On December 30, at 15:22 hours, Officer Tidwell was dispatched to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue in reference to the theft of a Milwaukee Brand 18V impact driver.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

On Monday, December 30, at approximately 16:52 hours, a Brownwood Police Officer responded to the 100 block of West Commerce in reference to burglary of a vehicle.  A report has been generated.

On December 30, at 17:00 hours, Brownwood PD officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Custer Road in reference to a possible scam.  A victim was identified and the officer made contact with the victim who advised that she was scammed out of approximately $10,000.00.  No solid suspect information was available at the time of the report.

On Tuesday, December 31, at approximately 08:42 hours, a Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of West Commerce Street in reference to an identity theft report.  A report has been generated.

On December 31, Brownwood Police Department responded to the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue in reference to a theft.  A suspect was named and a report was taken to be forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division for further investigation.

On December 31, Brownwood officers observed solicitors on Campa Drive.  A citation was issued.

On December 31, Officers conducted a traffic stop at the 1100 block of Austin Avenue.  The driver had two warrants and was subsequently found with 5.5 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  The subject was arrested and taken to Brown County Jail.

On January 1, Officers were called to Coggin Avenue in reference to a hit and run.  The suspect vehicle was located in the 1400 block of Brady Avenue.  The driver of the suspect vehicle was taken to BRMC Emergency Room for treatment.  Investigation is ongoing.

On January 1, at approximately 13:00 hours, Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 400 block of West Adams Street and arrested a suspect for warrants and possession of a controlled substance.

On Wednesday, January 1, at approximately 18:05, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a north Brownwood address in reference to a civil matter.  An assault was reported and a report was generated for this incident.

On January 1, at approximately 19:12 hours, Officers with Brownwood PD responded around the 1000 block of San Benito Drive in reference to a disorderly conduct.  A report was generated in reference to this call.

On January 1, at approximately 22:46 hours, a Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to the police department in reference to a juvenile problem.  A report was generated.
