In session Friday morning, County Commissioners spent less than 10 minutes taking care of the business on the agenda. County Commissioner Joel Kelton presided over the meeting.

Commissioner’s voted 4-0 to approve the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 county budget.  The 37 page document is available to review in the County Clerk’s Office or on the County website.

Commissioner’s then held a second Public Hearing on the 2019-2020 proposed tax rate.  No citizen spoke about the tax rate.

Commissioner’s then voted 4-0 to set Tuesday, September 24, at 9:00 am, as the date and time to adopt the proposed tax rate.

The next regular meeting for Commissioners will be Monday morning, September 23 followed by the tax rate meeting Tuesday morning, September 24.
