Brownwood City Council on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 approved a Brownwood Municipal Development District board action for sidewalk and lighting improvements along Baker Street and Milton Avenue for a cost not to exceed $62,000.

Development District Director, Ray Tipton, explained to the Council that, with two new businesses in development downtown along Baker Street, there has been discussion about connecting sidewalk and lighting improvements, such as what was done on Center Avenue about two decades ago, to Baker Street.

The Brownwood Municipal Development District Board approved adding 9 street lights on Baker.
