Cases Decided in District Court

According to District Attorney, Micheal Murray, the following felony cases were recently heard in Brown County District Court with Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Jimmy Leon Shields on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation was adjudicated and sentenced to Ten (10) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Shields on probation in three (3) cases for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was adjudicated and sentenced to Twelve (12) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division, in each case.

Connor Lane Trapp on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation was adjudicated and sentenced to Seven (7) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Chasity Rose Allison on probation for the felony offense of Retaliation was revoked and sentenced to Five (5) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Cody Ray Jester on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone was adjudicated and sentenced to Four (4) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Felipe Antonio Ortiz  on probation for the felony offense of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence was adjudicated and sentenced to Four (4) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Taezer Thompson on probation for the felony offense of Impersonate Public Servant was adjudicated and sentenced to Three (3) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Lakisha Maria Anthony on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of Marihuana was adjudicated and sentenced to Twelve (12) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Derus Whinery on probation in four (4) cases for the state jail felony offense of Theft of Firearm was revoked and sentenced to Twelve (12) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division, in each case.

Nicolia Ann Summers on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was revoked and sentenced to Eight (8) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
