The Brown County Water Improvement District will welcome a new officer when the board meets Tuesday afternoon. Kelly Barclay will be sworn in by Henry McGowen, the district’s legal counsel. Barclay has served with other departments in the area.
In other business, the board will:
- Approve certification of unopposed candidates for the upcoming election
- Approve a resolution to cancel the director election scheduled for May 7
- Hear from Tim Braaten who will address the board regarding intakes into Lake Brownwood. The board shall discuss and take any necessary action regarding the matter.
- Hear from general manager Dennis Spinks regarding current events, projects and lake conditions.
