In 1964 Peggy and Louis moved to Odessa, Texas where she was a housewife and mother. In 1981 they moved to Brownwood and lived here until her passing.

She then worked in the cafeteria at South Elementary, Northwest Elementary, Brownwood High School and Woodland Heights. After retiring from BISD, she stayed home to take care of her daughter Sherry before she passed.
