BRADY – The Brownwood Lady Lions chalked up their fifth victory in the last six outings, cruising past the Brady Lady Bulldogs, 51-21, Friday afternoon.
The Lady Lions (13-6) converted 81 percent (18 of 22) of their free throws while shooting just 24 percent (15 of 62), including knocking down 3 of 25 three-pointers. Brownwood also grabbed 41 rebounds, with 22 on the offensive end, and recorded 23 steals while committing 16 turnovers.
Icess Hall poured in a team-high 12 points for the Lady Lions followed by 10 from Hannah Deen, nine each from Jade Morin and Nylah Hall, three points from Miranda Northcutt, and two points apiece from Kate Tindol, Adyson Neel, Cassidy Brown and Lanie Johnson.
After one quarter, Brownwood led 19-9, which grew to 31-12 at halftime and stood at 41-16 heading to the final period.
The Lady Lions will be back in action Thursday as they open the TexasBank Holiday Classic with a 9:20 a.m. game at Warren Gym against Breckenridge, followed by a 5:20 p.m. contest on their own floor against Waco Connally.
