Margie Daniel Davis, 95

Margie Daniel Davis, 95, of Goldthwaite, went to be with her Lord and Savior early Saturday November 16, 2024. Arrangements are with Heartland Funeral & Cremation of Comanche. The family will gather at 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to visit her family and friends. Her funeral service, conducted by Brian Hall, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday the 20th at Heartland in Comanche followed by a committal service in the Toliver Cemetery of Gustine, TX. Margie was born in Lometa, TX on September 1, 1929, to Charlie Daniel and Bertha Mae (Davis) Wright. She attended several different schools with the final one being where she graduated, Sydney ISD. Margie was employed at the Sidran Corporation and Wright’s Leather Goods but was primarily a homemaker. She was married to R.J. (Shotgun) Daniel in Comanche October 17, 1945 and Jack Davis in Clovis New Mexico January 2010, both predeceased her.

Margie attended the Southside Pentecostal Church where she played the piano for many years. She was a great cook and famous for her homemade biscuits. Besides the piano, she also played the guitar and mandolin.

Margie is survived by children Jim Daniel & wife Lynn, Denver Daniel & wife Kim, Paula Vaughn & husband Earlie, Iris Kerley & husband Bill, Patsy Conter & husband Bill; numerous nieces, nephews, and “gobs” of grandchildren, great grandchildren; brother, J.R. Wright. She was preceded in death by husbands, R.J. Daniel and Jack Davis; parents, Charlie Daniel and Bertha (Davis) Wright; brothers, Paul, Barney, John, O.B., Dan, Timothy; sisters, Ruth Wright, Charlene Neeper, Charlotte Graham.
