DUBLIN – The Brownwood Lions opened the 2024-25 basketball campaign Tuesday night with a 61-47 road victory over the Dublin Lions.
Brownwood (1-0) trailed 20-19 after one quarter, opened a 35-30 lead at halftime, and carried a 49-36 advantage into the fourth period.
Casey Friebel paced the Lions with 16 points trailed by 13 each from Ross Strasner and Elias Perez, six from Hayden Brumbelow, five from Bennett Windham and two points each from Noah Pyle and Santiago Alvizo.
The Lions are back in action at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Benbrook.
