50-year sentence for Attempted Capital Murder handed down in 35th District Court

The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release regarding felony cases recently heard in 35th District Court by Judge Mike Smith.

  • James Gilbreath pled guilty to the felony offense of Attempted Capitol Murder and sentenced to 50 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Gilbreath pled guilty to the felony offense of Injury to Elderly and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Allen Wayne Low aka Donald Lynn Goodwin pled guilty to the felony offense of Evading Arrest and was sentenced to 25 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Ado Kapita Bakusa, on probation for the felony offense of Online Solicitation of a Minor, was adjudicated and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
