The City of Brownwood is bringing community, music, and delicious BBQ to downtown Brownwood with the new Feels Like Home Festival, taking place on Saturday, October 19th at the Brownwood Event Center. Tickets to the inaugural festival are on sale now via www.FeelsLikeHomeFest.com.
General Admission (GA) tickets start at $59+, although those looking for an elevated festival-going experience should opt for GA Pit or VIP passes starting at just $79+ and $114+, respectively.
GA Pit pass-holders will be offered access to all of the amenities offered to the GA attendees including craft BBQ, vendors, artisans, and art installations, although they will also have access to a private upfront viewing area just in front of the main stage.
VIP guests will be treated to a number of exclusive perks that include expedited entry with private entrance, entry into a shaded VIP tent, access to exclusive VIP-only menu items, upgraded bars with premium spirits, and upgraded restrooms with flushable toilets, in addition to upfront main stage viewing. Fans should purchase their festival passes as soon as possible with quantities limited and prices increasing as the event date approaches.
Headlining the event is Texas’ own Midland, a two-time Grammy-nominated country music trio. Festival-goers will be among the first to hear songs from their highly anticipated new album, Barely Blue, set to release in September. Additional performances include additional Lone Star talent including Casey Donahew, Micky and the Motorcars, and Hudson Westbrook, not to mention fast-rising singer/songwriter Tyler Halverson.
In addition to great music, local residents and out-of-town travelers alike can enjoy authentic Texas BBQ and take in the unique charm of Brownwood this coming October. With the goal of offering something for everyone, the City of Brownwood created Feels Like Home Festival in order to create lasting cultural celebration while providing a positive economic boost to the local community.
“This new music festival is not only meant to serve as a new annual celebration within our community, but also encourage those from around the state to come visit us, learn what makes Brownwood so special, and ultimately spend their dollars locally to help support our small business community,” said Mayor of Brownwood Stephen E. Haynes.
The festival will also help introduce the public to the newly renovated Brownwood Event Center, a multi-million dollar outdoor music and special event venue found in the heart of Downtown Brownwood. Originally a 1920s warehouse, the facility has been transformed into a modernized event center while preserving the historic character.
Stay tuned as more details surrounding this year’s event will be announced in the coming weeks, including this year’s lineup of mouth-watering BBQ pitmasters from across the state of Texas who have been invited to set up camp at the inaugural outdoor fest, along with the full slate of family-friendly activities, local artisans, and community partners involved in this year’s Feels Like Home Festival.
