Brownwood High School’s (BHS) 2024-25 new teacher roster includes Pamela Kasinger, a veteran BHS teacher who has come back home. “I am thrilled to be returning to the BHS Theatre Program where my journey began,” Kasinger said. “I am excited to reconnect with the community and to lead the theatre program with a fresh perspective.”

Kasinger taught at BHS from 1996 to 2000, assisting with UIL One Act Play (OAP) and musicals, teaching theatre arts and speech classes. Her resume includes time at Early High School, Andrews High School, and Dublin High School, and she has coached students into State appearances for OAP, Theatrical Design, Poetry, and Film. She was named the Dublin High School Teacher of the Year and a nominee for Dublin High School to the UIL Sponsor of Excellence award in 2018 and 2024.

“We are excited that Ms. Kasinger is returning to BHS,” said Lindsay Smith, BHS Principal. “She started her career here and has now come full circle. Ms. Kasinger knows firsthand the legacy and traditions that set BHS theatre apart from other programs in the state. She will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience.”

Kasinger has already begun the process of integrating into the BHS community and preparing for the fall semester of the 2024-25 school year. After a strong year of accomplishments in Dublin, she is preparing her Brownwood classroom where she lives closer to family. “I look forward to fostering a creative environment,” Kasinger said, “where students can discover their passions, build their confidence, and bring compelling stories to life on the stage through the magic of theatre.”
