Weekend motorcycle accident near Grosvenor results in fatality

The Texas Department of Public Safety issued a preliminary report on a fatal one-vehicle accident that took place at 2:33 p.m. Sunday, June 2 on County Road 105, two miles south of Grosvenor.

Joseph Raymond Ogle, 48, from San Angelo, perished after his 2001 Honda Shadow motorcycle was traveling south on CR 105 approaching a sharp curve in the roadway. The rear brake was applied on the motorcycle, causing the rear wheel to skid. Control of the motorcycle was lost, laying it over onto its left side. The driver, who was not wearing a helmet, was vaulted off the motorcycle and fatally injured.
