Exciting New Developments Boosting Early’s Local Economy

The City of Early issues the following Press Release following Mayor Robert Mangrum’s annual State of the City address:

The City of Early and the Early Municipal Development District have been diligently working towards a significant development project on the east side of Early, located in the 1700 block of Early Blvd, for the past five years. We are thrilled to announce that this project is now becoming a reality.

In March 2022, CP Early Land LP, a renowned development company, acquired 150 acres at 1701 Early Blvd. Since then, we have been collaborating with them to create both short- and long-term development plans for the property. The property is zoned for both commercial and residential purposes, and we are currently implementing an overall master plan. Our immediate focus is on the commercial development area along the front portion of Early Blvd.

We are proud to unveil that Atwoods Ranch & Home will be the first commercial establishment on the property.

Atwoods Ranch & Home is a leading farm and ranch supply store chain headquartered in Enid, Oklahoma, United States. With more than 75 stores across Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas, Atwoods is highly regarded for its extensive product selection. Originally catering to ranchers and farmers, Atwoods has evolved into a one-stop-shop for the entire community.

With an illustrious legacy spanning nearly 64 years, Atwood’s is renowned for its carefully curated range of nationally recognized brands, competitively priced private-label products, and unique offerings.

Atwood’s Ranch & Home will be situated on the east side of Early at 1701 Early Blvd. Spanning over 63,000 square feet, the store will be constructed on 11 acres of land. We anticipate that construction will commence this spring and be completed within the next 12 months.

We are thrilled to have Atwoods Ranch & Home as the anchor business in this development, as it has the potential to attract other retail, restaurant, and commercial ventures to the area.

Furthermore, we are excited to announce that the Early Town Center Project, which was previously just a vision, is now well underway. We are delighted to confirm that Town Place Suites by Marriott will be constructing a 75-room hotel directly on the boardwalk. This hotel will become a premier destination in Brown County, given its prime location on the boardwalk, next to the lake, and adjacent to the new Town Center Park. Construction of this hotel is expected to commence in the winter of 2024/2025 and should open in the later part of 2025.

Additionally, Hutch Brothers Properties and a locally owned construction company have revealed plans for an 18,000-square-foot building along the boardwalk. This building will feature a restaurant/bar with rooftop dining, an office for the Early Visitors and Event Center, and over 10,000 square feet of leasable space for restaurant and retail businesses. Situated on the boardwalk, this building will provide an ideal lease space for businesses seeking proximity to this exceptional amenity.

The City of Early is excited to announce these developments and partnerships that will benefit our local economy with new revenue and jobs both during the construction and when the businesses open.  All of these new additions continue us towards our goal of a strong healthy local economy supported by wonderful businesses.
