Richard is survived by Sister-in law Janie Harper of Brownwood, Texas, niece Amy Harper of Brownwood, Texas, brother Robert Harper of St. Louis, Missouri, John Harper of Brownwood, Texas, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in the death by his parents, John and Tessie Harper and Jim Harper, and his brother Mike Harper.

The family would like to express sincerest appreciation to all the staff at Brownwood Nursing and Rehab, for all the love and care given to Richard. A special thank you to Solaris Hospice, for their care and providing comfort in his final days.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 2:00PM at Greenleaf Cemetery.
