James Prescott, age 80 of Santa Anna, Texas passed Monday, October 23, 2023 at Pecan Bayou Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brownwood, Texas.

          James was born August 12, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana to James Virgil and Charlotte Pircey Prescott.  He was raised in Florida where he attended schools and started his career as a steel worker. He was a Christian by faith.  James married Linda Bond on August 13, 1993 in Las Vegas ,Nevada and they celebrated 30 wonderful years of marriage.

          James trained racing Greyhounds for many years before his retirement.  He and Linda retired to Santa Anna, Texas in 2009 moving here from Iowa, here they enjoyed the community and made many friends.

          A private burial will be held at a later date at Elm Cemetery in Rising Star under direction and care of Henderson Funeral Home Staff.
