Alda Fay Yearian, age 68, of Abilene, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2023.

A visitation will be held at 9:00 AM and a funeral service at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 12, at Heartland Funeral Home in Early.

Alda was born to James and Vivian Hobbs on March 31, 1955, in Ranger, Texas. She married the love of her life, Fred Yearian on August 7, 1992, in Brownwood. Alda was a lifelong Baptist. She worked as a housekeeper at several hotels in Brownwood, then at Walmart in Brownwood before she moved to Abilene and continued working at Walmart before retiring after 16 years with them. Alda enjoyed watching WWE wrestling, playing BINGO and collecting unicorn and dolphin figurines.

Alda is survived by her husband, Fred; son, Johnny Ray Tabor (wife Rebecca); step-children, Joseph Douglas Yearian, Robert Douglas Yearian, Delbert Dwayne Yearian, Freddie June Yearian and Heather Marie Yearian; siblings, Reba Myers and Carl Hobbs; grandchildren, Blake, Brittney and Kaylie Enriquez; 2 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Alda was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian Linville Hobbs; father, James Cecil Hobbs; siblings, Hazel M. Coates, Derril Jay Hobbs, Milton Royce Hobbs and Terrel Ray Hobbs.
