As of 10 a.m. Thursday, the Hoover Fire, as named by the Texas A&M Forest Service, off FM 2525 in Brownwood, that started Wednesday afternoon, had burned 72 acres.
As of last report from the Forest Service, it was 60 percent contained.
Brown County Emergency Management Coordinator Darrell Johnston confirmed those numbers in a 9:55 a.m. email, adding –
“We have crews working hot spots now and will be working through the day. Expect to bump up containment as the day goes on.”
