The Rising Star Volunteer Fire Department responded on Tuesday to a house fire in the 300 block of North Miller in Rising Star.  Upon arrival firefighters encountered heavy fire throughout the structure.  The house was a total loss and cause is under investigation.  Other area fire departments assisting were Cisco, Carbon, Sipe Springs, May and Cross Plains.
