A graveside funeral service for Eva Murdock, age 79, of Brownwood, formerly of Artesia, New Mexico, will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in the Woodbine Cemetery in Artesia.  Heartland Funeral Home of Early is in charge of arrangements.

Eva passed from this life on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

Eva Mae Jones was born on March 7, 1944, in Artesia, to Jack and Trudie Mobley Jones.  She married Ramond “Mert” Murdock on September 16, 1962, in Artesia.  Eva retired from Terry’s Electronics and Home Furnishings in Artesia in 2017 after a long career with the Maupin family.

Eva is survived by her children, Mona Murdock of Lake Brownwood and Ray Murdock and his wife Mylis of Hobbs, New Mexico; five grandchildren, Chelsey Towne, Danny McCombs, Allison Murdock, Lorrin Murdock, and Kylie Murdock; three great-grandchildren, Ryliegh Murdock, Jayce McCombs, and Kash Livingston; brothers, Truman, Gordon, and Johnnie Jones and sisters, Naomi Goss, Ruby Fulkerson, Jackie Paxton.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Robert Jones.
