flash-flood-watch

There will be a severe storm threat today (Friday) followed by a flash flood threat tonight and Saturday and rain into the middle of next week here across the entire KOXE listening area.  A Flash Flood Watch will be in effect from 7:00 pm Friday through 7:00 pm Saturday.

The hours between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm today (Friday) is the time when isolated severe storms may form in our area.

These could produce hail and damaging wind.  Forecast models then bring a line of strong, heavy rain producing thunderstorms into the area from the west roughly around sunset or just after.

The time period between 9:00 pm tonight and 5:00 am Saturday is expected to yield heavy rain, possibly hail and damaging wind and two inches of rain or more in heavier storms.

On Saturday, rain is expected to come and go at various times through the day, sometimes light, sometimes heavy and the same holds true Sunday and into Monday with rain chances 80% Sunday and 70% Monday.

The Flash Flood Watch from the San Angelo National Weather Service includes the counties of Brown, Coleman, Comanche, Mills, McCulloch, San Saba, Hamilton and Lampasas.

The Watch starts at 7 o’clock tonight and ends at 7:00 pm Saturday.
