A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for West Central Texas, including much of the KOXE listening area, until 9:00 pm this Sunday evening.  Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop across much of the area this afternoon and evening, with large hail being the primary threat initially, then transitioning to damaging winds as the storms merge and become more organized into a line of storms. A weak tornado or two can not be ruled out at this time. The first storms had developed as of 3:00 pm between San Angelo and Eldorado.
