Dyerl Gene Dodson, 62, of Brownwood, Texas passed away Thursday April 20, 2023 in Brownwood, Texas.

Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Early Friday April 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm.

Visitation will be Thursday April 27, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Brownwood Funeral Home.

Dyerl Dodson was born in McKinney, Texas to Gene and Margaret Dodson on August 2, 1960. His Dad was in the Air Force so he attended different schools growing up. Dyerl graduated from Berkner Highschool in Richardson, Texas in 1978. Dyerl and Brandy joined lives April 18, 2008 and tied the knot on September 02, 2017 at Lake Brownwood State Park.

Dyerl was preceded in death by his Dad Gene Dodson, his Grandma and Grandpa Dodson and Grandma and Grandpa Moon.

Dyerl is survived by his wife Brandy and kids Alan, Michael, Daisy and Kristen.  His mother Margaret Dodson, Sisters Cindy and Sandy along with 4 nieces and 12 great nieces and nephews.

The family of Dyerl wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Robert Hogue and his nursing staff,  MD Anderson Hospital and various teams of Doctors and Nurses that treated his Cancer along with  Methodist Transplant Center of Houston, Texas and all their Doctors and Nurses for the help they provided.
