Noted author Bob Alexander will be coming to Brownwood as part of the Brown County Museum of History’s celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the Texas Rangers, April 27, 2023 at 6 pm at the Brown County Museum of History.
Mr. Alexander will headline an entertaining evening and bring to life the true stories of the famed Texas Rangers in their early days on the frontier.
“Brown County during the Old West era was a wild place. The Rangers were called in at various times in this county’s history, notably during the Fence-Cutting Wars, and I will give some details about the Ranger presence in Brown County as well as a look at the Rangers throughout their exciting history,” Bob states.
Alexander is a former Special Agent of the U.S. Treasury, has served on the board of the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame in Waco, and is the author of 18 books about the Texas Rangers. He is a frequent guest speaker.
An 1820s-inspired cocktail hour will set the tone, with food sampling and drinks with the flavor of the Western frontier. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be served. Books by the author will be available.
