LION BASEBALL

Luke Gray tossed a complete-game one-hit shutout, and the Brownwood Lions scored the runs they needed in the top of the seventh inning of a 2-0 victory over the Graham Steers Thursday night to complete their second three-game sweep of a District 6-4A opponent.

Scoreless through six innings, the 6-4A front-running Lions (18-6-1, 7-1) made all their noise in their final at-bat against Graham (9-12, 2-6).

LADY LIONS SOFTBALL

The Brownwood Lady Lions surrendered 13 runs in the bottom of the first inning as the Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 4A No. 10 Graham Lady Blues completed a District 6-4A softball sweep with a 15-0 victory Thursday night.

The Lady Lions (9-11-1, 3-3) gave up two more runs to Graham (19-4-2, 4-0) in the third inning to end the game early.
