Joe Francis Wills, Sr., age 84, of Brady, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023 in Brady.  Joe was born November 11, 1938 in Burnet, Texas to Vernon Wills and Lucy (Huddleston) Wills.  He served in the U.S. Army.  He married Joyce Harper on February 7, 1973 in Brady, Texas.  He worked as a truck driver for many years, driving for Davenport Trucking and Max Mahan Trucking.  He enjoyed country music and played in a country western band for several years, singing and playing the guitar.  He also enjoyed working on computers, old cars, shooting his bow and riding his bike.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He has lived in Brady since 1972 and he was a Baptist.

Funeral services for Joe Francis Wills, Sr. will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady with Travis Beimer officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady.

Joe is survived by his sons Joe Wills, Jr. and wife Susan of Liberty Hill, Texas, Cecil Lambertino and wife Georgia of Brady, Texas, William Robert Wills and wife Amanda Jo of Russellville, Kentucky and Joseph Wills of Korea; daughters LaDonna Wills of Brady, Texas and Angelina Mills and husband Cliff of Brady, Texas; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.  Memorial contributions in memory of Joe Francis Will, Sr. may be made to the Hope from the Heart, P.
