Calvin Fryar, Chairman of the board of directors of Citizens National Bank, has announced promotions.
Gabriel Cardenas has been promoted to Assistant Vice President and Controller. In 2017, he joined CNB as a Teller, then a Note Teller before being named Assistant Controller, and now assuming his current role as Assistant Vice President, Controller.
Cardenas is a 2017 graduate of Howard Payne University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is a sports fan and loves to travel.
Will Locke has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, IT Officer, and IT Security Officer. While a student, he joined CNB in 2014 as a part-time Proof Operator, and in 2017, he was promoted to IT Security Officer. Locke is a 2016 graduate of Howard Payne University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems. He is married with two children, serves as a Brown County Young Professional Group member, and teaches Jiujitsu.
Citizens National Bank is Brownwood’s only home-owned independent bank. Citizens’ roots go back to the late 1800s to the mercantile store, “Coggin Brothers and Ford,” and later evolving into the Citizens National Bank. Fryar said, “We are proud of our heritage and look forward to serving the banking needs of the central Texas area for many years to come.”
