Danny K. Armstrong, 60, of Brownwood

Danny K. Armstrong, age 60, of Brownwood, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.

Funeral services for Danny will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church, with Bro. Keith Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church. The family requests that all fishermen wear their tournament jerseys or fishing attire. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Danny was born on August 13, 1962 in Brown County to Kenneth and Patsy (Pepper) Armstrong. He attended Early schools and graduated from EHS in 1980. For the last 17 years, Danny worked for Centex Body and Paint. Prior to, he owned his own shop and worked for Superior Essex for 15 years.

To say Danny was a hard worker is an understatement. He would work all day, come home, and work many more hours to help someone else. He built countless buildings and carports for people in and around Brownwood. Danny could never sit still.

Danny had many hobbies including bowling, hunting, archery, and roping. However, fishing was his passion. He was a member of three different fishing clubs in the area – Brady Bass, Family Bass, and Brownwood Bass Club. He also travelled for Bass Champs and Media Bass.

Those left to cherish Danny’s memory include his wife, Brenda Armstrong; daughter, Denise Daub; son, Steven Armstrong; step-children, James Dudley, Shana Germany and husband Lawson, Robbie Dudley and wife Amber; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; mother, Patsy Armstrong; sisters, Debbie Jackson and husband Jason, and Donna Vickers and husband David; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Zeva.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Kenneth Armstrong.
