Early PD makes multiple recent arrests for assault

The Early Police Department emailed over the following information Monday afternoon:

On Friday, March 3 at approximately 1230 a.m., officers noticed some vehicles behind a business in the 200 block of Early Blvd. When the officer pulled up, he observed several people outside the vehicles yelling and fighting with each other. Further investigating revealed that one vehicle had rammed another vehicle in the side and the individual in the passenger side had been injured. Lifeguard EMS was called and transported the female passenger of the victim vehicle to the Emergency Room. It was later learned that the suspect Victoria Lynn Hollins-Rodriguez had learned the whereabouts of her estranged husband and a female. When Rodriguez located them she reportedly rammed her vehicle into theirs causing injury to the female passenger and severe damage to the vehicle. Rodriguez was charged with 3 charges of aggravated assault with motor vehicle due to 3 occupants in the victim vehicle.

On Sunday, March 5 at approximately 9 p.m. officers responded to an apartment in the 1000 block of Early Blvd. regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers learned a 16-year-old female had assaulted a male subject in the house. The juvenile was taken into custody and taken to the juvenile justice center.

On Sunday, March 5 An officer was flagged down near McDonald Park and was advised of a disturbance in the 100 block of Kings Court. When officers arrived the found a male outside who appeared very angry and a female crying across the street. The female reported the male came at her with clinched fist while threatening her and grabbed her by the arms. The female was trying to leave the residence but the male held her and wouldn’t allow her to leave until just before officers arrived. The male threated to bash the females head in and strangle her during the struggle. The male also pushed the 18-year-old son into the dresser but did not cause injury. The male, Charles Robert Bennie of Early was placed under arrest for 2 charges assault family violence, terroristic threat family violence and Unlawful Restraint.
