Siprana Mendez Granado, 82, of Brady, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, March 2, 2023, in Brady. She was born Choate, Texas to Eusebio and Tiburcia Mendez on November 20, 1940.

She married Eulogio Granado Sr. on July 10, 1954. They raised ten children together in Pear Valley, Texas. She was a devoted mother, housewife, and grandmother. She was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Brady. Siprana was a very hard worker in the field picking cotton, and mistletoe. She loved gathering with her family to make dozens of homemade tamales. She loved to sew blankets and wear her red lipstick and listening to Spanish music.

Siprana is preceded in death by husband, Eulogio Sr., parents, two daughters, Irene and Ester Granado, son, Jesse Granado, three brothers, one great-granddaughter, and one great-grandson.

Siprana is survived by her daughters, Janie Benavidez and husband Manuel of Brady, Yolanda Salas of Lubbock, Anita Hernandez and Raymond of Pear Valley, Victoria Soto of Brady, Frances Torres of Livingston, sons, Eulogio Granado Jr., and wife Ermina of Pear Valley, Jessie Granado of Brady, twenty-four grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great-grandchildren, two brothers, and two sisters.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, March 6, 2023. Rosary will be held from 7:00 – 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady with the Father Terry Brenon, officiating. Burial will be at Lohn Cemetery in Lohn.

Pallbearers will be Amanda Dennis, Rosemary Martin, Anthony Soto, Raymond Hernandez Jr., Elizabeth Vella, and Jessica Soto.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Brady.
