Cynthia Kay Willmann, age 67, of Brady, Texas, went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 18, 2023, in Brady. Cindy was born November 28, 1955, in San Angelo, Texas, to Floyd Bernard Frerich and Dorothy Mary Rose (Lange) Frerich. She grew up in San Angelo and was a 1974 graduate of Central High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Angelo State University and earned her Master in Education Degree from Tarleton State University.

Cindy’s love for teaching spanned 38 years in Rochelle and Brady. She was passionate about inspiring the children to know they could succeed and achieve more. Her love for educating and mentoring children was the focus of her life at school and church.

Cindy married David Willmann on May 5, 1982, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in San Angelo. Soon after, they made their home in Brady, Tx, where they had two children together, John and Becca.  She was a volunteer and Board Member for the Brady Youth Sports Foundation and the McCulloch County Museum, a 4-H leader, a Proud member of the Aggie Moms Club, the Red Hat Ladies, and a master gardener. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady, serving on the Alter Society, St Patrick’s Parish Council, and as the CCD Director. Her dedicated service to the community led her to receive the Brady Citizen of the Year award.  Of her many roles, Cindy was particularly proud to be a mom to her children and “Mimi” to her grandchildren. Cindy lived her life giving and serving her family, students, friends, and community. She was a loyal friend, with a kind and merciful heart, and a loving sister in Christ to all who knew and loved her.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Cynthia Kay “Cindy” Willmann will be held at 10:00am Friday, February 24, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady, with Father Terry Brenon officiating.  Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady.

The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:30pm Thursday evening at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be Richard Multer, Jennifer Williams, Blake Leggett, Christy Cockrell, Sam Warick, Cody Looka, Sarah Theriot, and Matthew Looka.

Cindy is survived by her husband, David Willmann of Brady, Texas; son John Willmann of Austin, Texas; daughter Becca Renee Williams and husband, Toby of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Luke, Allison, and Ben Williams; her mother, Dorothy Frerich, brothers Kevin Frerich and wife Kathy of Keller, Texas and Mark Frerich and wife Jean of Augusta, Georgia; sisters Lou Ann Multer and husband Mark of San Angelo, Texas, Mary Leggett of San Angelo, Texas, June Looka and husband Howard of San Angelo, Texas, Lisa Franklin and husband Mike of San Angelo, Texas and Becky Cockrell and husband Flash of College Station, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Frerich.  Memorial contributions in memory of Cindy Willmann may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Youth Group, 406 South Bridge Street, Brady, Texas 76825 and/or the Brady Youth Sports Foundation, P. O. Box 126, Brady, Texas 76825.
