The Brownwood Lady Lions and Lions soccer teams traveled to Stephenville on Friday night where they both lost in close games.

In the girl’s game, the final was the No. 4 Honeybees 1 and Brownwood 0. The Lady Lions are 2-2 in district while Stephenville leads at 4-0.

In the boy’s game, the Yellow Jackets won 3-2 to improve to 4-0 in district while Brownwood fell to 2-2 in district standings. Junior Martinez scored both goals for Brownwood.

District play for the Lady Lions and Lions continues this coming Tuesday at Gordon Wood Stadium in a doubleheader against Gatesville. The girls game is at 5:30 followed by the boys.
