Brenda Kay Stephens, age 74, of Lake Brownwood, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at her home surrounded by family.

A memorial service for Brenda will be held on Saturday, January 28, at 11:00 AM at Lake Brownwood First Baptist Church.

Brenda was born on September 4, 1948 to Cleo and Ernest Stephens in Tahoka, Texas. Brenda Kay was everything that God meant for a wife, mother, sister, Meme and friend to be. She was married to the love of her life, Don for over 55 years.

Together they raised two wonderful children and built a fabulous life full of adventures, road trips and RVing.

She loved nothing more than for her family to be together so she could love on them by cooking her wonderful meals. Her grandkids were the light of her life and she was their biggest cheerleader. Brenda was a local beautician/barber for over 50 years. She also cut hair at the Brownwood State School for over 24 years. She loved her clients and friends at Cutting Edge Salon.

Brenda spent her free time playing bingo, riding around on the lake, going to casinos and going on cruises.

Brenda, is survived by her husband, Don; children, Dale Stephens and wife Karin, and DeOnna Stephens; grandchildren, Kate Lynn, Zane, Alexas, and Brandi. She is also survived by a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Jimmy Drager, Billy Riley, Sharon Drager, and Gerald Drager.
