It was a tough night on the hardwood floor Tuesday night in Glen Rose as the Lady Tigers and Tigers took two games from Brownwood.
The No. 1 team in girl’s 4A basketball, Glen Rose, imposed their will in route to a 81 to 29 victory.
Kimber Green led Brownwood with 11 points trailed by Hannah Deen with seven, Mady Pyle with six, and Kassidy Wooten with five points. The Lady Lions are (15-17, 2-3).
Brownwood hosts Mineral Wells at 5:45 p.m. Friday in a rematch of the Lady Lions’ 54-33 district win on Jan. 10.
In the boy’s game – The Brownwood Lions were dealt their second consecutive District 6-4A loss, falling at league leader Glen Rose by a 53-37 count Tuesday night. The Lions are (11-14, 1-2).
Tristan Salinas led the Lions with 11 points followed by Luke Gray with 10, Morsello Hooked with eight, Hayden Noe with four and Thad Hinds and Jason Jackson with two points apiece.
Brownwood welcomes Mineral Wells at 7:15 p.m. Friday as the Lions wrap up the first half of league action.
