A Pacific front is expected to move through the region during the early morning hours Wednesday. Sustained west winds between 15-30 mph will develop behind the front during the mid to late morning and continue through the afternoon hours.

Gusts to 40 mph will be possible, especially across western portions of the Big Country and Concho Valley during the afternoon hours. Combined with relative humidity values falling below 20 percent and dry fuels, critical fire weather conditions will be possible.

Any outdoor activities that could cause sparks or flames should be avoided at the risk of igniting a wildfire that could spread rapidly.
