As of 10:30 am Tuesday November 15th, Lake Brownwood was at 8 feet and 1 tenth below spillway.

We are now in Mandatory water restrictions, Stage 2 of the Drought Contingency Plan.

As of Tuesday, Lake Brownwood was at 61.7 % capacity.  One month ago, Lake Brownwood was at 63.1% capacity.  One year ago, Lake Brownwood was at 95.2% capacity.

Brown County Water Improvement District is asking all customers to be mindful of wasting water.  They suggest to customers not already doing so to restrict water from outdoor sprinkling, watering lawns, shrubs and washing of automobiles to twice per week. The District will also suggest that customers employ “time of day” restrictions.

Please check with your retail water provider for the exact restrictions that you fall under.
