Brownwood City Council to Meet Tuesday Morning

A regular meeting of the Brownwood City Council will be held Tuesday, October 25, at 9:00 am at Brownwood City Hall. The agenda is below.

6. Citizen Presentations
Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

A. Brownwood FFA – Ag Issues Presentation.
B. Consider accepting a donation to the Fire Department from the Stephen and Mary Birch Foundation, and also a donation from Atmos Energy.
C. Consider authorizing the City Manager to sign an agreement with USA Shade for the installation of canopies at the Sports Complex to replace shade structures damaged in the May storm.
D. Consider a budget amendment to install remaining canopies that are not part of the insurance replacements at the Sports Complex.
E. Consider authorizing the purchase of a patch truck for the Street Department.
F. Consider accepting a proposal from Pro Track and Tennis, Inc. for the resurfacing of the tennis courts at Coggin Park and ratify BMDD participation in the project.

10. Consent Agenda
A. Consider authorizing the City Manager to sign an agreement with Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC) contract for October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2027.
B. Consider ratifying a BMDD Board action to approve a Building Improvement Incentive Program (BIIP) grant to Seth Hoover not to exceed $12,938 for a property located at 2400 Crockett Drive.
C. Consider ratifying a BMDD Board action to approve a Building Improvement Incentive Program (BIIP) grant to Precision Dent Repair not to exceed $15,269 for a property located at 1507 Austin Avenue.
D. Consider ratifying a BMDD Board action to approve a Building Improvement Incentive Program (BIIP) grant to Tea2Go not to exceed $23,500 for a property located at 2208 Austin Avenue.
E. Consider ratifying a BMDD Board action to approve a Downtown Retail Opportunity Program (DROP) grant to Glenda Packer not to exceed $25,000 for a property located at 209 Fisk Street.
