Brownwood City Council to Meet Tuesday Morning

The City of Brownwood City Council has a meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 13, at 9:00 am at City Hall, 501 Center Avenue. The posted agenda is below.

Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

A. Council may cast a vote in the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool Board of Trustees Election.
B. Council may discuss and consider a resident’s request to pave an alley.
C. Council may discuss a request to change Clark Street from a one-way to a two-way street from Austin Avenue to West Depot Street.

A. Consider authorizing the City Manager to sign a contract with Andy’s Pest Troopers for pest control services.
B. Consider authorizing the City Manager to sign Solid Waste Disposal Contracts with the City of Early, City of San Saba, Waste Connections, and Brasher & Company.
11. Ordinances and Resolutions
A. Consider an ordinance on fust/final reading authorizing the issuance of the Certificates of Obligation in the amount of $8,635,000 for the construction of Landfill Cells 14 and 16.
B. Consider a resolution approving the Brownwood Municipal Development District 2022/2023 annual budget.
C. Consider an ordinance on second and third/final reading on a proposal to increase total tax revenues from properties on the tax roll by 10.74% by adopting the proposed tax rate of $.6864 per $100 value.
