Jeanene Myers. You didn’t know her for five minutes without the word “feisty” coming to mind. You didn’t know her for ten minutes without “force to be reckoned with” blasting you in the face.

Jeanene was born on August 30th, 1945 in San Angelo, TX, to Evelyn and Edgar Reed. In 1946, the family moved to Colorado, where Jeanene lived the majority of her life. In the late 70s, she was one of the few successful female semi-truck salespeople in the entire nation. Working for International Harvester, she met Webb and they were married July 11, 1981. From this union, Jodi and Cassi were born. Jeanene acquired her real estate license, and between her sales skills and Webb’s handyman work, they had a side business flipping houses. Eventually, the family made their way to the Metroplex, where Jeanene had a difficult time with direction. Having grown up where the mountains are to the west, it was hard for her to adjust to no landmarks and she was always lost. When the family moved to Colleyville, she figured out a way to be able to stay home with her kids and earn money, by having an in-home daycare. She successfully ran her in home daycare until the family moved to Virginia. There, she was able to be a stay-at-home mom and attend the many horse shows, playdays, and rodeos that Cassi and Jodi were involved in. From Virginia, the family moved to Brown County, TX, to be close to Jeanene’s mom. While there, Jeanene wore many hats: homemaker, bus driver, jewelry store manager, photographer, and retiree. Jeanene was an avid bowler, loved card games like pinochle, Phase 10, and various versions of Solitaire. She loved so much attending her kids and grandkids events, and would holler the loudest of anyone else there. Her love, support, and fire will be dearly missed. She was a member of Northridge Baptist Church for many years.

Jeanene is survived by her daughters, Jodi Myers and Chad Colbath, son Harison and daughter Charli, Cassi Millican and David Millican, daughter Abbi, son Jayden, and daughter Ella; step children, Larry Myers and Karen Barlow; brother Gary Reed and wife Cindie; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jeanene was preceded in death by her mother Evelyn; father Edgar; and beloved husband of 40 years, Webb.

The family would like to thank the staff of Pecan Bayou Nursing and Rehab, and Solaris Hospice, for loving and caring for our mother and our family.
