  • On Monday, Aug. 8, Deputy John Geis was called to the sheriff’s office to take a report on a criminal trespass. Deputy Geis spoke with a victim who owned the property after the passing of her father. The victim stated her father’s ex had been trespassing on that property and possibly stealing items of the property. The victim wanted a Criminal Trespass Warning served, and a report was made.
  • On Friday, Aug. 12, Deputy Ricky Herring was issued a theft of keys over the phone, which occurred at the complainant’s residence, from a person known to her. Information was taken and a report was taken. The keys were recovered at the residence.
  • On Friday, Aug. 12, Deputy Toby Mathis spoke with a complainant in regard to a criminal trespass at his property. The complainant said his daughter’s ex-boyfriend was on his property without permission. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On Friday, Aug. 12, at around 5:10 p.m., Deputy Carlyle Gover spoke to a business owner, by phone. He advised, a former coworker refused to turn in his issued keys, as well as he entered the workshop to get back his tools without the employer’s permission. After a property exchange was done, the former employee was trespassed from the business, as well as the employer’s residence.
  • On Friday, Aug. 12, at around 9:21 p.m., Deputy Carlyle Gover responded to Brady Ave in Brownwood. This was in reference to a resident stating he observed photographs taken inside his trailer at Rough Lee Drive on an online market site. After further investigation, a report was made.
  • On Saturday, Aug. 13 at 1:25 p.m., Deputy Ricky Herring was dispatched to Hendrick Urgent Care, W. Commerce. This was in reference to a dog bite. Upon arrival, Herring made contact with parties involved, information was obtained, and a report was taken.
  • On Sunday, Aug. 14, Deputy Toby Mathis initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle near CR 467 and Hwy 279. The passenger had two active warrants for his arrest. The passenger was placed in custody for the active warrants and charged with Fail to Identify, after providing a false name. A report was made.
