Mazie was born May 24, 1937, to Rosa Carmichael and Amos Brown in Wilson, North Carolina. She was a twin of the late Daisy Barfield.

Mazie Reynolds was raised in Wilson North Carolina where she attended school in the Wilson, North Carolina School District. She met Joseph Reynolds as a young teen, and they quickly fell in love and got married.  The relatives said” it would never work” but… love proved them wrong. Mazie married the love of her life, Joseph Reynolds on April 27, 1953. Mazie and Joseph Reynolds settled in Willingboro, NJ where the Reynolds family expanded, and from that union 9 children were born.

Mazie loved reading the word, taking care of her family, arts, and crafts, singing, playing her keyboard, and writing songs. (Mazie’s favorite song, I just can’t live without you Jesus). More importantly, she LOVED her children unconditionally. She showed her love to them everyday through kindness, nurturing, and prayer and instilling morals and values!

In 1968 Mazie and Joseph attended a tent revival with Bro. R.W. Schambach, and from that point on their lives changed.  After moving to Brownwood, Texas, they began their spiritual journey on fire for God and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ while traveling from coast-to-coast winning souls for the Lord.

Mazie Reynolds is proceeded in death by her husband Joseph Reynolds; son, Maurice Reynolds; Son in-laws William Hall and George Williams; Sisters, Daisy, Doris, Hatti Margaret, and Naomi; Brothers, Walter, Clifford, James Lee, John Jr, and Sammie; Grandchildren Tiffany, Brandon, and Jason.
