Rain Drenches Brady, Other Area Towns

A stalled out cold front was the focus for rain and lots of it Monday evening into the overnight hours in the northern Hill Country.  Parts of McCulloch, Mills, San Saba, Mason and Menard counties was where the higher rain totals were recorded.

According to the San Angelo National Weather Service, as of 4:00 am this morning, the heaviest rain was recorded at Brady Creek at Brady with a total of 3.53 inches.  Other amounts are shown below.

Willow Creek at Mason – 2.67″

4 miles North of Hext – 2.27″

10 miles NE of Mason – 1.98″

6 miles NW of Fort McKavett – 2.33″

5 miles NW of Locker – 2.07″

8 miles NE of Cherokee – 1.96″

8 miles W of San Saba – 1.28″

Several other 1 to 1.25 inch amounts were reported in Voca, Tow and London.

There is a 30% chance for rain and thunderstorms in the forecast for today (Tues).
