The Brown County Sheriff’s Department dealt with numerous calls concerning cattle being out in various parts of the county along with the following calls for service between Friday, May 6 and Monday, May 9.
- On Friday, May 6, BCSO deputies were dispatched to CR 292. This was in regard to a deceased person. Contact was made with reporting person, who advised the victim had passed away. JP Bryan Thompson responded, and a report was taken.
- On Friday, May 6, contact was made with an individual at FM 3100. This was in regard to having a domestic animal exposed to a rabid skunk. The individual was provided with Procedures for Quarantining or Impoundment of Animals Exposed to Rabies packet. A follow up will be conducted in 45 days.
- On Friday, May 6, at around 1:30 p.m. Deputy Toby Mathis responded to Hwy 183 N for a report of theft. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On Friday, May 6, at around 9:56 p.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover, responded to CR 464. This was in reference to a not in progress burglary. After further investigation, a report was made.
- On Sunday, May 8, Deputy Toby Mathis conducted a traffic stop on a blue Dodge Durango. The driver was placed in custody for Driving While License Invalid with No Insurance. The driver was transported to Brown County Jail, and a report was made.
- On Sunday, May 8, Deputy Saydie Bradley, spoke with an individual in regard to wanting a trespass warning issued. A Criminal Trespass Warning was issued, and a report was made.
- On Monday, May 9 at around 2:19 a.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover and Sgt. Andre Smoot arrived at Tanglewood Drive. This was in reference to an unknown suspect leaving the property while the residence’s door was busted in. After further investigation, a report was made.
