Norma J. Turner-Carpenter, 89, of Rising Star, Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at home surrounded by her loved ones in Rising Star, Texas.
Norma was born October 17, 1932 in Temple, Texas to the late Orban Turner and Daisy Cook-Turner Norma married Billy T. Carpenter in London, Texas, they celebrated 66 wonderful years together before he went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 5, 2018.
Norma was preceded by her parents, Orban Turner and Daisy Cook-Turner; husband, Billy T. Carpenter; sister, Bobbie Nell Carpenter.
Norma is survived by her daughters, Karla Allen and husband. Bo of May; Jo Anne Paulk and husband, Mitch of Rising Star; sons, Jim Carpenter and wife, Paula of Rising Star; Bill Carpenter and wife, Camille of Alaska; Mike Brennan and wife, Inga of Rising Star; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Orba Hight of Odessa.
We the family would like to especially thank Davanna Whitten and Misty Bush, we are so grateful for the kindness, love and compassion you showed our mother while you were her caregivers. We appreciate everything you did for mom, you both were such a blessing to her and our family. We would also like to thank all of mom’s special friends that brought her so much joy every time she saw them.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 21 at 2:00 PM at London Baptist Church with Terry Simmons officiating and Roy Carpenter assisting. The family will have a time of visitation on Wednesday, April 20 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel in Cross Plains, Texas.
